Update: The AISD Superintendent has decided to cancel all afterschool activities and programs due to weather prediction. All AISD EAC and Y parents are asked to pick up their child at dismissal.
The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration enhanced risk for severe storms has shifted to hit the Austin area late this afternoon/early evening hours. Thunderstorms with wind gusts up to 75 miles per hour and large hail are possible.
The EAC administration has decided to close all programs at 4:00 pm today to ensure that the travel home is as safe as possible for all children, parents, EAC staff and school staff. We urge you to pick up your children as soon as possible, so that our programs can close at 4:00 pm. All AISD and KIPP Afterschool programs are closed and will not program today.
Please note that school districts may ask that all after school activities be cancelled. If that happens, we will notify you by text that our program will be cancelled for today.
